Mentoring and Workshops in Secondary Schools

"I can highly recommend the CRIBS Mentoring programme for students. In light of the current issues surrounding student mental health and well-being the use of CRIBS Mentors has enabled me to support a wide variety of needs amongst our students. Referral was quick and easy and the students are well matched with their mentor who remain professional throughout. I have had extremely positive feedback from students, parents and health professionals."

Unlimited logo

Our Unlimited secondary programme focusses on linking mentors with young people in need of help to overcome issues that can cause a barrier to their learning.

Mentors receive comprehensive training in both mentoring techniques and practise and in the issues facing young people today. This enables them to build trusted relationships with the young people they work with, guiding the pupils to find their own solutions to the challenges they face.

Mentors meet with pupils once a week for approximately 30 minutes within school. Mentoring targets are agreed between the mentor, the mentee and the school. The mentoring relationship continues as long as is necessary and possible, with regular reviews built into the programme. We can also offer small group, targeted short-term mentoring, to address a particular shared issue.

Alongside our mentoring programme, we can offer workshops for small groups or classes facing specific issues. We offer workshops on healthy relationships, social media use and safety, and emotional regulation. We can also work with you to develop workshops based on the needs of your students.
